Spring cleanup generally occurs in our area between April and June. It can be a daunting task for someone without the proper equipment and training. We are properly equipped and trained to take your landscape from mess to meticulous.
Spring cleanup includes the collection and removal of organic debris that has accumulated over the winter on your lawn and landscape, such as:
- Tree limbs
- Pine needles
This accomplishes several things that are important to your lawn and landscape. In particular, if the leaves from the fall were not cleaned up they can stunt the growth of your lawn, flowers, and shrubs, so it’s important to remove those as soon as possible.
First, some organic matter is okay (and sometimes preferred) for your lawn, but too much of a good thing can be bad. Second: it wakes up your lawn and landscape which remained dormant all winter. This service breathes new life and air into your dormant grass and shrubs. Third, and most important: it makes your landscape shine again. Winter does terrible things to your lawn, and landscape spring cleanups help restore it to it’s former glory.
Fall cleanup generally occurs in our area between November and December (snow permitting). This can be an overwhelming task as many of your trees have shed their leaves, generating a seemingly endless sea of leaves. Maine Landscape Management uses updated equipment and knowledgeable staff to perform this service efficiently and on-budget. Much like your spring cleanup, we will collect and remove the organic debris from your lawn and landscape. This service is crucial to your lawn and landscape. Not only is it more aesthetically-pleasing; it maintains a healthy lawn and landscape. Giant piles and mountains of leaves can cause major problems.
Bark mulch generally occurs between late April and July but can go later in the year also as part of an installation. There’s nothing quite like the smell and look of fresh bark mulch! We install all colors, shapes, sizes and variety of bark mulch. The most common bark mulch we deliver and install is the pitch black bark mulch. Below you will see a few different color choices we offer. If you are a DIY type but don’t have the means of delivering your mulch, we can do that too. Or if you would rather we do the dirty work we will come in, mechanically edge your mulch beds and install a fresh layer of beautiful bark mulch.
Tree and shrub pruning
Tree and shrub pruning can occur at many different times throughout the year, depending on the type of tree or shrub. You can damage your trees or shrubs if they are improperly pruned. Pruning too early will result in little to no flowering, while pruning too late can stunt growth and promote poor shape. The professionals at Maine Landscape Management are knowledgeable about the trees and shrubs we trim. We do complete tree and shrub removal as well as tree and shrub planting.
Brush removal can be a hazardous and labor-intensive process. Leave it to the professionals to assess your brush problem and do away with the nuisance.
